But a Dream

We assume we understand
what reality holds,
but in each grain of sand
another mystery unfolds.

Answers can bring satisfaction.
Satisfaction can bring stagnation.
Love is but a distraction
from reality’s eminent frustration.

I mourn not what fate is about.
I heed not what life will bring.
Life is simply marinating in doubt.
Each moment is a curious thing.
